How Date Codes Work

both on the outer main brain case, and inside the main case. The Date Code tells when the unit was manufactured which determines the proper replacement remote needed that is compatible with your system. Usually there is a white sticker that has, for example, OK/8F. The "OK" means that the unit has passed inspection. The "8" signifies that the unit was manufactured in 1998 and the "F" signifies the month of June. Below is charts to determine the Year and Month the unit was manufactured.
